Enquiries
Last updated
Hoax and Hindsight has one address for all enquiries: contact@hoaxandhindsight.com. The site has no contact form and does not promise a reply or a reply time. When a message leads to a correction, the correction is logged on the Corrections page.
What is welcome
- Errors. A wrong date, judgment or sentence, test result, quotation, citation, or grade on a predicted item. Include the address of the page, the statement in question, and a source that shows the error, with a page number or a link to a readable copy.
- Earlier or better primary records. A court file, test report, newspaper issue or printed edition that is older than, or closer to the events than, what a page cites. Include the full bibliographic details and where a copy can be read.
- Public-domain images. A photograph, print, painting or book illustration that would help a page and is in the public domain in both the United States and the European Union. Include the source page for the image and the basis for its public-domain status, such as the creator's year of death.
- A challenge to a Hindsight score. If a predicted item seems wrongly graded, name the item, the grade it should have, and the observation or source that supports that grade. Scores follow the published Hindsight score rules, and a changed grade is logged with the earlier grade kept.
A claim that comes with a checkable source can change a page; a claim without one cannot. The rules every page follows are on the Retrial method page.
